In the Sensabot Inspection Challenge, you are tasked with creating a detailed map of an area representing an oil rig by collecting and analyzing sensor data across three interconnected areas. You may teleoperate the robot between areas, but direct human oversight and intervention are prohibited. Sensabot Challenge
Goals:
Create a map that represents an oil rig by collecting and analyzing sensor data across three interconnected areas.
Procedures:
Use the JetBot to explore and map three distinct areas of a simulated oil rig. Each area presents unique environmental challenges, including varying lighting conditions.
Develop a strategy detailing which sensors and data analysis techniques will be employed in each area. Consider the specific challenges and limitations of each zone, such as poor lighting or obstacles.
Collect all sensor data, including images and LIDAR readings. Compile this data along with the final map of the oil rig.
Alongside the map and data, submit a detailed report explaining your strategy, choices of sensors and analysis methods, challenges faced, and insights gained.
