A Butt Splice connector is a type of crimp that is used to connect one wire to another. A wire is inserted into one half of the connector and crimped. The other wire is then inserted into the other half of the connector and is also crimped.

Disconnnect connectors come in two Paired varieties. One has a blade and is called the Male terminal. The other crimp is the socket side and Female terminal. This pair of connectors allow easy ability to connect or disconnect wires or components with wires.

These connectors have an exterior that is made from insulating plastic, their means of connection is a tapered coiled metal insert, which threads onto the wires and holds them securely.
