CS2N Competitions are designed to inspire people to learn to write code.
Competitions are typically divided into three divisions: middle school, high school, and open division.
Teachers have the opportunity to create their own “in class” competitions using the CS2N Group feature. Teachers that create their own competitions will be provided have the ability to invite their students to compete in your own classroom or school level competition. To do this simply perform the following steps:
Commenting programs – In order to be considered eligible for top prizes in competitions your code must be clearly commented and you will need to submit your code for evaluation.
Once a student has decided to participate, they should start by clicking the GO button located within the "Step 1: Register" section of the competition page. This way they will receive any news or update regarding that competition (e.g. date changes, modifications to the rules, etc.).
Once registered, the participant will begin to work on their competition entry. They may refer to the tutorials and help forums we have during this process.
Some competition entries need to be submitted via the CS2N engine. With some RVW Competitions, you will have the option of submitting directly through the virtual world if you have signed in through CS2N. CS2N keeps track of your highest score.
Winners will be notified via email.
